Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an International Medical
Organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995.
It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in
Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.
MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the
position of:
Senior Android developer / IT trainer– Palestine
Starting date: Around November 25nd, 2015
Duration: 2 weeks
Type of contract: Service Contract
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Android Developer/ IT trainer consultant will be working with
ALTARIQ Systems & Projects and MDM F Gaza team to strengthen the current
capacity of the Tablet developer from the IT unit of the Gaza Central Drug in
Gaza. To achieve this goal, the Android Developer/ IT trainer will have to conduct
a specific training on Android development basics and supervise alongside
ALTARIQ Systems & Projects the direct implementation of the knowledge
gained, by putting into practice skills in the current development of the
tablet android system. At the end of the training, the tablet developer staff
of the CDS should be able to perform the development of an android software by
his own and manage all main bugs that could eventually occur.
Main responsibilities:
-To assess the
knowledge of the trainee
-To train the
trainee on basics of Android system development including Android overview,
application development, interface, data base and content provider, web
services and data parsing, Android Services, Networking, broadcast receiver and
notifications, barcode scanning and location services.
-To prepare and
use adequate pedagogical material required
-To prepare the
trainee to solve all potential bugs that might occur while developing android
technology.
-To supervise
direct use of the gained skills
-To evaluate
progress of the trainee
RequirmentS
-Degree in
computer science/ engineering.
-Experience in
professional android development for
minimum 3 years (qualitative and quantitative data)
-Excellent
communication and pedagogical skills, with strong sense of diplomacy and
patience.
-Ability to
transfer competences and provide capacity building.
-To respect
confidentiality.
Reactivity, anticipation, adaptability and capacity to take
initiatives to changing requirements
Organisational skills, rigorComputer skills - Microsoft Office,
internet and data management.
Excellent communications skills (verbal and writing)Fluent in
Arabic and English (verbal and written).
Strong organisational skills (including time management)
