Medical Aid for Palestinians MAP-UK, works for the health and
dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is seeking

Project Officer
Under the supervision of the Training Programme Manager, the
post-holder is responsible for a range activities to support the organization
and implementation of MAP’s training and other projects.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
-Work
with project staff to support project implementation, assessments and
evaluation
-Provide
logistical support for training activities, including those conducted by
foreign health teams
-Conduct regular
field visits to the programme sites to offer technical support to the
implementing organizations/ departments and the field staff and to monitor the
projects’ activities to ensure programme objectives are met.
-Regularly
engage with MoH relevant departments/units and partners to follow up
implemented actions.
-Work with MOH
departments and partners to identify and prepare success stories, videos,
photos and case studies in line with MAP’s requirements
-Under
supervision and oversight from the Training Programme Manager, arrange for
field visits of visitors, missions, donor representatives, MAP members and
others as required.
-Coordinate
preparation for missions of foreign health teams to the Gaza Strip with the
MOH, hospital administrators and medical personnel at selected hospitals.
-Establish and
maintain strong relationships with key local actors, including, partners, MOH,
local authorities and committees to facilitate and strengthen networks.
-Liaise with the
Programme Assistant - Gaza and Programme Support Officer-oPt. on related
logistics and access arrangements.
-Participate in
any emergency interventions when needed.
Qualification and Experience:
-Bachelor
degree, preferably in a health-related subject.
-A minimum of 3
years’ experience working with MoH and NGOs.
-Proven
knowledge of NGOs and CBOs structures and visions.
-Relevant
experience in project management and implementation.
-Conducing
research, evaluation and/or preparing analytical work.
-Excellent
interpersonal and communications skills.
-Outstanding
organisational skills.
-Excellent
report writing and documentation skills in Arabic and English language.
